Spiral Tail cat tarot ornament set

Major Arcana Spiral Tailed Feline Tarot

I’ve been hard at work crafting Spiral-Tailed Feline Tarot card ornaments with my trusty (and slightly temperamental) used Glowforge Pro. These beauties cover the Major Arcana—cards 0 through 21—a feline twist on tarot’s iconic lineup.

I’d love to tackle the full 78-card deck, but with each card taking about 15 minutes to print front and back, it’s a Herculean task I’m not ready to wrestle just yet. Right now, I’m churning out six sets of 22 cards, dual-sided. That’s 50–55 hours of printing per set—plus extra time for the Glowforge’s tantrums. This machine’s worse than a fussy toddler: refocusing, cleaning dusty lenses, swapping botched cards. Electronic diaper changes, indeed.

Still, I’m wiped but thrilled with the results. A hand-painted gold trim gives them a stunning finish that pops. I’ve got about 50 back covers left to print before they’re done. Naturally, these tarot treasures are 100% cat-approved. Look for them soon at Tsunami Beach Company in Crescent City, CA!

Major Arcana. Take a spiritual travel with the innocent wonder of The Spiral Tailed Feline Fool to discover the oneness and fulfillment of The World.
Spiral-tailed cats tell a story of spiritual evolution into enlightenment and individuation of the soul.

Cats bestow multitudes of blessings, from entertaining clown to reminding of our unimportance in the universe. Their presence enrich our lives and fill our homes with both mystery and love. These whimsical illustrations of cats with ultra-long tails capture the grace and fluidity of feline movements and turn each piece into a playful exploration of form and elegance. The elongated tails add a touch of fantasy, making each illustration a unique blend of realism and imagination.

These are the cards contained in the wooden deck. Sorry my photos are kind of poor quality.

There are images of all 78 cards I’ve created in this set available to print on playing card format, each illustrated in the style of the tarot archtypes and classes. The Black cat silhouettes seemed a natural fit for this new feline themed tarot set. I’m currently working on the booklet to accompany this set and when I am through with that I plan to offer a color book version.
