Only a Fanatic Would Do This
That’s what I tell myself while furiously illustrating new ideas for Hello Bigfoot Colorbook version II when version I just published.
I have no idea what will become of this firstborn child. He is abandoned to the whims of fickle finger of fate.
Lose, win or draw…I just completed the 8th new addition to HBFC version 2:
“The Old Man Bigfoot in a Shoe with so many children he doesn’t know what to do.”
Theme should remain the same, Bigfoot’s a family man. Why change?
What do Bigfoot families do after dark when reasonably normal people are fast asleep?
They let their cubs play with our toys.
Listen up folks, this can cover a lot of sins, don’t be so quick to discard.
- Scratches on the fender? Bigfoot cub joyride
- Excess mileage from a midnight rendezvous? Bigfoot cub joyride
- Mud covered RV? Bigfoot cub joyride
Notice the pattern?
Ignore The Experts, What Do They Know Anyway?
This is cartoon is based on a famous landmark called Confusion Hill. The shoe house was a parade float in 1947 and placed along the Redwood Highway as an attraction to experience weird and inexplained “quirks of gravity.” See a really great photo of the actual house here. I remember visiting it as a kid in 1955, then again with my own kids in 1980’s.
Simple, basic pseudoscientific optical illusion at play and yet very enjoyable.
